Description
The "Net Yaroze" (model DTL-H300x) is a version of the PlayStation aimed at hobbyist software development. It is visually distinguished by its elegant matte black finish and a unique textured surface, moving away from the gray and smooth plastic of consumer models. Unlike standard consoles, this unit allowed users to program their own games on a computer and run them on the actual hardware using a serial cable and special access cards. It was not sold in retail stores; instead, it was available exclusively via mail order after registering as a hobbyist developer. It is considered a cornerstone in the origins of the independent development scene on consoles.
