The "Men in Black" edition is a customized original PlayStation console created to promote the release of the eponymous film and its official video game in the late 1990s. This unit features the iconic movie logo (the stylized "MIB" acronym within a circle) screen-printed directly onto the disc cover of a standard gray console. It was an extremely limited promotional piece primarily distributed across the European market through contests organized by official PlayStation magazines and special cinema promotions. Since it was never available for retail sale, it is a highly prized item for both movie memorabilia and video game hardware collectors.
