Released as part of the brand's historic first wave, this machine captured 90s nostalgia by featuring iconic Capcom artwork and, for the first time in a home unit, the 6-button-per-player layout necessary for true fighting games. It includes the three definitive versions that defined the saga: Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, Street Fighter II Turbo, and Super Street Fighter II. It features a 17-inch LCD screen and a two-player control deck. Although it is a basic model without Wi-Fi connectivity or a stock light-up marquee, it laid the brand's foundation with its visual fidelity and ability to recreate local tournaments in the living room.
